Google Panda was released in 2011. Its effects were visible in April 2011 just within two months of its launch. Google Panda changed the ranking of most sites by changing its search engine ranking algorithm.
Sites that contained more advertising content lost the ranking while new and social networking sites ranked higher. Using artificial intelligence the sites were then ranked as per the quality and content that people actually desired. Human quality testers were employed to measure and rate the websites based on various parameters. The Google Panda machine was created to look for similarities to rank the sites according to quality as per actual people.
